    1. [SWEDEN] Anders CARLSSON b: 1741 Bitterna

    3. I found Anders CARLSSON listed in Lekåsa which stated date and place of birth as 1741 Bitterna. I looked, but I do not know if I was able to check all the places correctly. That was my first search attempt. I did search death records and found him. His wife Brita JONSDOTTER is listed as being born 05 May 1741, no place of birth, I assumed Lekåsa, but no luck. Date of death is just listed as 1814, and I had no luck there either. Also searched for marriage record and ran across one listed 02 Jan 1774 in Lekåsa that listed Anders CARLSSON who married Brita PEHRSDOTTER. Since I could not find this couple in the Household book, could it be they have the wrong Paternal name listed for her? Regards, Lance

I looked, but I do not know > if I was able to check all the places correctly. [...] --- Bitterna parish was created 1817 from joining Österbitterna parish and Västerbitterna parish. But I don't see any Anders Carlsson born 1740-1742 in Västerbitterna or Österbitterna parish. Västerbitterna C:1 (1710-1791) Image 53 / page 99 (AID: v9639.b53.s99, NAD: SE/GLA/13694) Österbitterna C:1 (1731-1787) Image 101 / page 193 (AID: v9644.b101.s193, NAD: SE/GLA/13695). Perhaps he was born in another parish of the Bitterna, Laske-Vedum, and Eling "pastorat". Unfortunately there is a gap 1741 in the Eling bith records. But your Anders Carlsson's birth-place or birth-year could be in error in the houshold records (in lekåsa?). Lekåsa AI:1 (1799-1814) Image 7 / page 5 (AID: v9735.b7.s5, NAD: SE/GLA/13323). > > His wife Brita JONSDOTTER is listed as being born 05 May 1741, > no place of birth, I assumed Lekåsa, but no luck. --- There is a Britta (or Börta?) born (or baptised?) 23 jan 1742, mother maid Ingeborg Jonsdotter of Östergården Lekåsa, father farmhand Jonas Månsson in Prästagården(?). Lekåsa C:3 (1727-1788) Image 177 / page 337 (AID: v9421.b177.s337, NAD: SE/GLA/13323). She COULD be your Britta. Or not... > > Date of death is just listed as 1814, and I had no luck there > either. --- There is a widow Britta Jonsdotter of Östergården dead 30 Nov 1813 at age 71, looks like she could she be your Britta. Lekåsa C:4 (1789-1831) Image 161 / page 313 (AID: v9423.b161.s313, NAD: SE/GLA/13323). > > Also searched for marriage record and ran across one listed > 02 Jan 1774 in Lekåsa that listed Anders CARLSSON who married > Brita PEHRSDOTTER. Since I could not find this couple in > the Household book, could it be they have the wrong Paternal > name listed for her? --- Do you mean the marriage 2 Jan 1774 in Åsaka parish? Lekåsa C:3 (1727-1788) Image 156 / page 295 (AID: v9421.b156.s295, NAD: SE/GLA/13323). I don't think it is all that likely... Perhaps they were married earlier, maybe Olof born 1774 is not their oldest child? // Bo Johansson
