Dear Barbara, Thank you for your response. George is a dear friend of mine. He is one of the nicest guys I have ever met and very well liked at work. My Supervisor signed me with him to watch over him. After High School in the 1960s he went into the U.S. Marines, and unfortunately got hooked on drugs and alcohol. After the Marines, he worked odd jobs, but was not able to hold anything down. In the 1990s he landed a job in the cable industry, our supervisor gave him the job, and did everything he could to protect him. Poor George had a tendency to make forgetful mistakes and gets confused really easily. George started to clean himself up by the time I met him. After I was hired, part of my job was to watch over him. I could tell you some really funny stories. Poor George came into work every day worried that he was going be fired. After years of working together we became very close. He retired 2 years ago. Since he knew that I help people with their genealogy, he asked me if I would help him trace out his heritage, as a legacy to his son. Later he asked me to add his wife's genealogy as part of the deal, and yes hamburger's became part of the deal. As for the genealogy, I set definite limits, realizing that this endeavor can become a never ending saga. Have a great 4th, may there be much illuminations in your future. He came to me in the hopes that I may be able to locate his wife's Swedish Ancestry. No one in her family have any idea where their family came from other than Sweden. I thought it would be nice to trace her family back a couple of generations into Sweden for her, as a surprise. That's why Pono gave you the source information and not all the data. That info was gleaned from site(s) to which he has a paid subscription and research can take a lot of time. You can access Ancestry and ArkivDigital free at any LDS Family History Center. You will find online instruction for doing Swedish research at FamilySearch.org. Bo will likely help with detailed info, and I hope you are keeping the source info he has given you.
