Martin, Again thank you. I was having a challenging time trying to locate Samuel Jonasson in Rockford. Of course I wasn't certain if they had Americanized their name and yes it became Johnson. So I went after the mother's boupteckning and I found it. They had listed the names of the children(Hurray since often they "forget" to name the ones in America.) There was Samuel and the daughter Anna Louisa who was married to Gustaf Ryberg. Ryberg was a lot easier to search on Ancestry and I found them in Rockford. I was able o locate Samuel in a city directory but I am still missing some pieces. I tried to search for the sons and somehow I found the second son who was Nils in Sweden but he became Alric. I found that someone had Alric in their family tree and I sent him a message and he replied tonight. It is always very nice to make a connection and fill in some blanks. So thanks to you and to all the list (Bo and Pono) for making this happen.
