Right, I goofed, Pehr is first born. Have contacted Centrala Soldatregistret so will see where that goes. Yes Mans Olsson's son Ola died so he isn't my ancestor. I keep forgetting that part...quite important to get that through my thick skull! As a bonus, I found Estred Zackrisdotter's estate inventory and the penmanship is lovely. I can read it, not necessarily understand it but it does give info on her daughter's marriages. Bonus!!! there are a few people mentioned at the bottom of the intro paragraph that I think may be grandchildren but not sure, Anders Pehrson and Jons Nilsson. and I think Elna's husband is Bing Strom? Albeit said, 5 new generations on that line is pretty good considering when I started I didn't know my grandmother's mother's name. Presumably named after the mother's father. Notice the entry ends with a mark and reference to the next page, where I think there is a report (entered later) of the emergency baptism of Zachris, notice it starts with a mark and a reference to the other page. > > Died Norra Rörum CI:2 (1774-1823) Image 227 / page 451 (AID: > v111347.b227.s451, NAD: SE/LLA/13279) --- 4th Sunday after Epiphania (1 Feb 1778) cavalry soldier Ola Modig's little son Zahris died 7 days old. The text at the very top seems to mention the previous estate inventory, and is signed by the widow Ester Zakariasdotter. Then the text clearly states this is a record of a public auction, held because of the previous estate inventory, of the estate after the deceased cavalry soldier Ola Modig in Nötarp. The right column records the buyers, notice that "Enkan" (the widow) and "Sonen Per" (the son Per) are among the buyers. Ola Modig's estate inventory probably starts at Frosta häradsrätt FIIa:18 (1801-1802) Image 370 / page 9 (AID: v157587.b370.s9, NAD: SE/LLA/10014). At least that estate inventory is signed by the widow Ester Zakariasdotter. And I still think there is a good probability that your Ola's father was named Per. // Bo Johansson
Rhonda-- Anders Persson and Jon Nilsson are värderingsmen. They evaluated the estate. Elna's husband is häradsmuraren (district bricklayer or mason) Ringström.
