Dear List Members, Thank you to everyone who have helped me with locating the Swedish family of my buddy’s wife. He just attended a family reunion of the JOHNSON family. He was armed with the information that we have compiled thus far and was able to confirm that the individuals that we have discovered were indeed the family members we were looking for. The patriarch of the family recognized the places that the family came from. One member of the family actually visited Barne-Åsaka. Additional, as the family lore goes Gustaf MAGNUSSON a.k.a. SÖDERBERG changed his name to SÖDERBERG and immigrated to America to avoid the authorities in Sweden. For what crime is unclear. When his sister Johanna MAGNUSDOTTER came to America, she to in turn chanced her name to SÖDERBERG to match that of her brother. After she married John Olaus JOHNSSON married Hannah SÖDERBERG, in Wisconsin, the moved to Seattle. Gustaf in turn moved with them. Thanks to the efforts of this list, this has turned out to be a very successful endeavor. Tomorrow, I will attempt to locate another family at the LDS History Center. With me luck. Regards, Lance
