Thank you Bo and Jan for all your help. I never could have figured this out on my own. There is no Kil parish in Kopparberg county, but there are parishes named Visnums-Kil, Stora Kil and Kila in Värmland county, Kila in Örebro county, Västmanland county and Södermanland county, and Rasbokil in Uppsala county. Could Skålo be Skålö? There is a village Skålö in Järna parish, Kopparberg county. There is a village Snöån in Norrbärke parish, and a river/creek in Järna parish. There are several Nordanåker, including in Järna, Malung, Gustafs, Borlänge, Stora Tuna, and Gustafs parishes. Utsälje and/or Uppsälje are in Järna. Myrbacka is in Järna, then there are places named Myrbacken in several parishes. There is a Norret in Sundborn parish, but places named Noret in several parishes, including Järna. There are places named Storbyn in Järna, By, Gagnef, Malung, Nås, Våmhus, and Äppelbo parishes. "Prästgården" means the priest's farm, and would exist in many parishes. Unfortunately, there is a gap 1810-1837 in the Järna birth records... // Bo Johansson ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
