I need help in reading the Boupteckning for Jön Larsson. He died Sept 1816 in Södra Ving. I found his Boupteckning in Ås Häradsrätt FII:22 1816-1819 image 79/ page 151. I also need help in reading the Boupteckning for his wife Kierstin Olofsdotter. She died Apr 1829 in Södra Ving. I found her Boupteckning in Ås Häradsrätt FII:25 1829-1831 image 286 page 557. I am looking for the children. I know there were the following children from the Household examinations and birth records: Lars 1778, Nicklas (named Olof on the birth record) 1781, Britta 1785, Pehr 1788 and Sven 1792. >From the first page of each Boupteckning it appears that there were 3 children (and 2 ??) at the time of Jön's death. And 3 children at the time of Kierstin's death. I believe that Britta is married to a Carl Carlsson but I can not make out where they are living. Thanks for all the help, Carol in Kentucky
This is an update to the request that I sent earlier this evening. I did locate the death of two of the sons Lars died 1794 and Pehr died in 1803. This would explain why I saw only 3 barn on the inventories. But I still help in understanding what the opening paragraphs state. Carol, I'm sure that a Swede will help you with the bouppteckning translations, but if you want to try for yourself, I have a dozen examples online that may help. I had lots of help with those translations. Go to http://www.sandinfamily.com, choose Genealogy Resources, then Bouppteckning Translation List, and then look at as many as you want.
