    1. [SWEDEN] Purpose of Särskild Förteckning

    3. Särskild Förteckning appears to translate to Separate List. I wonder what its purpose is. I'm looking at Färlöv-AI-15-1881-1885-Image-485-Page-554, AID: v99108.b485.s554, and on line 7 is Per ANDERSSON. He was living with his family in Ulrikstorp, Areslöv, Färlöv on page 481. Notes say he went to N. Amerika and was working there in Nov 1882. The rest of his family travelled in 1882 and 1883. Färlöv-B-4-1862-1894-Image-132-Page-253 (AID: v99114.b132.s253) has him coming into this Särskild Förteckning page at line 13, and then on page 255 he is off to N. Amerika with his family on line 21. Is this a list of residents who have disappeared from the parish without an attestation or certificate? I don't find a Moving Out record for Per, so far. Thanks Kevin

It is a list of missing persons, that is people who have left the parish without giving proper notice. > > I'm looking at Färlöv-AI-15-1881-1885-Image-485-Page-554, > AID: v99108.b485.s554, and on line 7 is Per ANDERSSON. The rest of his family > travelled in 1882 and 1883. --- He was moved from Ulrikstorp (page 481) 12 Dec 1882. He could have been missing some time before that date, this was when he was officially moved to the missing persons list. Notice that they (the 1882 missing) were all moved to the list on 12 December. > > Färlöv-B-4-1862-1894-Image-132-Page-253 (AID: v99114.b132.s253) has him > coming into this Särskild Förteckning page at line 13, and then on page 255 > he is off to N. Amerika with his family on line 21. --- He is officially noticed again, so he was "moved in" from the list 30 Apr 1883, and then immediately moved out together with his family. This is a bit unusual, they usually didn't bother with a moving-in record, and the person was "moved out" directly from the missing persons list. It is most likely that the parish, now that the rest of the family moved out and probably had been in contact with him, now considered that he had officially moved out. > > Is this a list of residents who have disappeared from the parish without an > attestation or certificate? He is in the moving-out list 30 Apr 1883, but when he actually moved out he didn't give proper notice, that is why he was in the missing persons list. // Bo Johansson
