    1. [SWEDEN] Per August Carlsson

    3. Hello, I am needing some help locating my gg grandfather, Per August Carlsson. He was born 5 Dec 1864 in Augerum, Blekinge, Sweden. I have him last living in Karlskrona stadsförsamling, Blekinge. AID # v96208.b240.s2407 AI:39 Image 240 page 2407. I believe he received his sailors certificate on 4 Sep 1889. He is the 8th name from the top. Next I found him on the missing persons list AID# v249387.b300.s27 AIII:1 Image 300 page 27. For Karlskrona stadsförsamling, Blekinge in 1890. I found a Per August Karlsson leaving on 15 Nov 1889 on the ship, Romeo heading to Hull England. AID# v479764.b2780.s553 in the Götesborgs poliskammare (-1900) records. Image 2780 page 553. Is there a way to trace back and see if this is MY Per August? What is the number on the left mean? "Kontraktets N:o" his is 1124. The date is just about perfect. He got his sailors cert on 4 Sep 1889 and has left for Ogema Wisconsin on 15 Nov 1889 and is declared missing in 1890. He has been using "C" for Carlsson, but this one is "K". Don't know if this was used interchangably or if it is MY Per, did he use "K" instead of "C" on purpose, or if I am just dreaming and this is not my Per at all. Also, he seems to have a travel companion, but I can not read the last name. It looks like Karl August "Tvärd"?? If I have this mans last name maybe I can find them here in the US. But there are many Per August Carlsson's here. I need to narrow them down. And unfortunately, the census I need for this, 1890, does not exist. So by 1900, they could be anywhere. And if it is my Per, how might I find where he went in England? Any thoughts on how to proceed with him, is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much Lisa Wagner

    3. Hi Lisa, Is it possible that Omega took a census of their residents? Towns and cities take then so they can predict what might be needed as far a schools and services on the coming years so they can start making plans. They might ask how many in the household and their names or how many cows you had.:} All the best Barbara in MA On 9/7/2015 2:46 PM, Lisa Wagner via wrote: > > > Hello, > > > I am needing some help locating my gg grandfather, Per August Carlsson.
