In 1760 there is p. (piga = maid) Boel, and only Jöns Andersson now with a shorter mystery title. Probably the shorter is singular and the longer form is plural... Maybe it is soldier? I see in 1762 page 356 that men with that mystery title has comment "S?? i tienst", and "ryttare" (cavalry soldiers) has "M. i tienst". Especially as they don't seem to be tax-payers. So, in the case of Jöns Lind, he had 2 sons, Ola in 1779 and Nils in 1782. If tradition was followed in this case, Jöns father's name would be Ola, and wife Lisa's father's name would be Nils. Which it was, as she was Lisa Nilsdotter in the baptism of Ellna in 1785. If Jöns Lind's father's name did happen to be Ola, and we don't know this for certain, would his patronymn be Olasson or Olsson? Kevin
