In a post earlier this week I asked for a transcription/translation of a Farstorp moving in record for Jöns Lind. He, his wife, and 3 children moved from Finja parish. I had great help with this. Today I stumbled across a record that I believe relates to Anna Catharina. I'm again asking for some help with a few words, but I've had a shot at some of it. Farstorp CI:4 (1766-1792) Image 163 / page 164. 1791, lower right. 11 October ___ pigan Anna Catarina Månsdotter ____ till Vinslöf (Vinslöv parish) född 1774 _______, soldaten Jöns Linds ____ ______ i Farstorp. Could sks help me with the missing words please? So we have Anna moving to Vinslöv parish in 1791. She has some connection with Jöns Lind, but for some reason she is not his biological daughter. I have no idea who Måns is. I have looked for a birth record, and bearing in mind that the family moved to Farstorp from Finja in 1782, this seems the likely birth/baptism. Finja CI:1 (1690-1775) Image 75 / page 72, item 11 near the bottom right. DDSS tells us that she was the daughter of Bengta Abrahamsdotter, and that her unnamed father was a stalldräng (which translates to stableboy, stableman, groom, and ostler). I guess he worked with horses. The record also notes that the couple were unmarried but betrothed. Bengta was a fästeqvinna, whatever that is. Anna Cath was born 21 Apr 1774 and baptised 24 Apr 1774. There is a note that has something to do with being born during childbirth. I looked for a marriage for Bengta. On 14 Nov 1777 a Bengta Abrahamsdotter (hushollerska of Mölleröd) married Frederic Winbergh (ladufogde of Mölleröd). If this is the same Bengta then my assumption is that the 1774 betrothal did not take place; at a guess the stableman's first name was Måns. Thanks Kevin

In the 1782 moving-in list the soldier Jöns Lind and his wife Elisabeth Forslund has a daughter Anna Catharina born 1774. This is most probably not your Anna Catharina, the parents' names don't fit. > > DDSS tells us that she was the daughter of Bengta Abrahamsdotter, and that > her unnamed father was a stalldräng (which translates to stableboy, > stableman, groom, and ostler). DDSS has a daughter Greta born 1779-01-08 to Frederich Winberg (ladufogde at Öfraholma) and his wife Bengta Abrahamsdotter. // Bo Johansson
