I have seen some members of my family listed as Baptist in the Parish records. The family member I am looking at is really different though. She came to America in 1884 then when back to Sweden sometime before 1899. I have letters from her to her siblings in America, so I know where she was in Sweden. However, she is not listed in the the census or the Parish records until 1912. By that time she had taken over the care of her orphaned niece and nephews. I recently have seen a photo album that belonged to her. In it she had the pictures of 3 religious figures. Off the top of my head I do not remember the religion but it was not Lutheran. I had it explained to me that if they were part of a recognized nonconformist religion they would be listed in the Parish records and if it was a unrecognized nonconformist religion they would not unless they had a life event like a birth, death or marriage. I am thinking, or trying to see, if maybe her religion was an unrecognized nonconformist religion and that is why she is not listed. During that time she did not have a life event.
