We were having where did you come from discussion. And one of the group said that there were allotments for the number of Europeans that could come into the country in the 1880s to early 1900s. I followed many Swedes who came to America during this time and I have not been aware of any quota for Scandinavians. Can someone on the list enlighten me or clarify this for me.
