I am tracking the children of Emma Charlotta Jonasdotter (from an earlier post) and with the help of Bo I learned that one of her daughters came to the US, settled in Brooklyn, New York, and married Charles Becker who was born in Denmark. Julia Maria was born 1883 (25 December)in Ryssby. Kalmar. Her husband was Charles Leopold Christin Becker and he was born March 14, 1883 in Denmark, according to his World War I Draft Registration Card. (She is listed as Mary his wife at this time.) I have found them on the 1920, 1930 and 1940 US Censuses. And they have three children, Helen born about 1915, Allen born about 1921, and William born about 1923. By 1940 the son, Allen is listed as Carl A Becker. After the 1940 US Census the trail seems to grow cold. (Although Julia Marie travels back to Sweden in 1946.)
