HI Peter and Bo Thanks for your replies I have now just received Charles Frederick Hallgrens marriage certificate in Victoria 1897, it’s stated that his father was Charles Frederick HALLGREN and mother Mary ANDERSON. Father was an engineer. The age given on the marriage certificate gives his birth date about 1870 Stockholm. Is there anyway to find out if he was born to these parents about 1870 or if there is a Charles (KARL) Frederick Hallgren and Mary Anderson anywhere?? Kind regards and many thanks Dianna

I looked at the 1880 and 1890 Census, emibas and emmigratten 2003, and emiweb and did not see anyone matching. A little more info may help.
