HI I am again starting to do research on the above who was born c1868/9 in Stockholm. Karl (Charles) F HALLGREN was in Victoria, Australia. He first appears in the Australian records with the birth of his first child Frederick Charles HALLGREN in 1892 in Carlton, Victoria. Karl F. HALLGREN married Kate /Catherine CUNNINGHAM in Victoria in 1897 his birth place given as Stockholm. Charles (as he became known as) was listed as a Dealer on the electoral rolls that he appeared on from 1902, he died in 1910 in Victoria aged 41. I would like to find any information on Karl F. HALLGREN leaving Sweden, if that is possible!! Also could anyone tell me are there any of the official exit Permit records surviving that were issued by the pastor of the parish in Sweden from which the immigrant came from?? I am at the moment waiting for the birth certificate of Karl’s b 1899 to see if there maybe any relevant information. Hope someone can offer some advise. Kind regards Dianna Sydney Australia.
