Yes, it could be Finja. I can't see any Moving In/Out records for the period around 1782 under Finja. There are Population Registers and he may be in them, say for 1781-1782 as a start. Hi Bo Have been looking into this question of yours, 'could it be Finja'. I notice that the first line in the Population register for Finja for each year around 1781 appears to make mention of Sundberg. Perhaps Commissioner Sundberg. Perhaps he was the priest (or assistant priest). An example is here: Finja MTL:1 (1742-1830) Image 156 / page 1779. This presence of a name that you transcribed as "Sundberg's certificate" would seem to support the idea that Jöns Lind and family did in fact reside in Finja parish prior to moving in 1782 to Farstorp. Son Nils had been born in 1782 (the Hörja parish register shows him born 25 Dec 1781, baptised 27 Dec 1781 as far as I can tell). It must have been before the certificate was written, which was 9 Aug 1782. It's interesting that Jöns Lind stated in all future HFLs that he was born 6 Dec 1782 in Hörja parish. But the Hörja parish register does not have a birth of a Nils Lind on 6 Dec 1782. As of this moment I haven't found a mention of Jöns Lind in the Population register above. I'm finding it very difficult to read the names. Finding him would confirm that he was living in Finja (or Hörja, whose records are included with Finja in this volume).
