    1. [SWEDEN] Did Håkan Andersson resturn to Sweden

    3. In 1855 two 15 year-old boys emigrated from Färlöv, Kristianstads län, Sweden, to Denmark (no place name or parish given). They were Nils Olsson and Håkan Andersson. Where they went to in Denmark, and how long they stayed together I don't know. I believe Nils emigrated to Australia, and subsequently to New Zealand. The Danish 1860 Census is about 92% transcribed, and I have searched it for Håkan. I think the name is probably quite rare. The Census has two people of this name: Håkon Andersen, aged 26, married (1857), born Sweden Håkon Anderson, aged 32, unmarried, born Sweden. (The census has 11 other people named Hakon or Håkon born in Sweden, none of the right patronymn or age). Of course the person I'm looking for might be in the 8% of the census that has not been transcribed, or he could have died between 1855 and 1860. But I wonder if he returned to Sweden. In which case I wonder if the Emibas database might have a record of him. I'd be grateful if someone could check this for me please? Thanks. Kevin
