Happy New Year to the list. I posted this request for help on some "living" relatives but I didn't get a reply. So I decided it was time to do some further searching. I have found two of the three children and if I go a little deeper I should find the missing daughter. I went to my local Library website and they have a link to "America's Obituaries & Death Notices". I found obituaries for both sons. William died in 2002 in Allentown, PA and Carl died in 2015 in Minnesota. Carl's obituary gave the names of his children (including married names of the daughters) and I was able to find one of the daughters through White Pages. I called her and had a lovely conversation. I just wanted to say thank you to the list for all the support you give through the year and to share my success as a reminder that there are many resources out there when think outside the box. So Happy New Year and great searching in 2016. Julia Maria was born 1883 (25 December)in Ryssby. Kalmar. Her husband was Charles Leopold Christin Becker and he was born March 14, 1883 in Denmark, according to his World War I Draft Registration Card. (She is listed as Mary his wife at this time.) I have found them on the 1920, 1930 and 1940 US Censuses. And they have three children, Helen born about 1915, Allen born about 1921, and William born about 1923. By 1940 the son, Allen is listed as Carl A Becker. After the 1940 US Census the trail seems to grow cold. (Although Julia Marie travels back to Sweden in 1946.) Can anyone help me find some leads on what happens to this family? Thanks so much and Happy New Year. Carol in Kentucky
