He was "dödförklarad" (declared presumed dead) in a decision by "Alingsås Tingsrätt" (Alingsås district court) 17 Nov 1986. He had emigrated 1912-12-20 to N.America. He had probably not been heard of for many years, and I would not expect him to be in the Death index. Not found in Swedish Death index 1901-2013. // Bo Johansson

He was back in Sweden by 1900, where he can be found in the census according to a hint I found here: http://www.genealogi.se/faktabanken/portraettfynd-ren-index/dalarna/mora/e-b eckertz/3229 which also gives his wife’s name as Selma Ulrika Petersson Ros, with no other information about her. I can’t find him in America, but that is not especially surprising since he seems to have just missed the US censuses. He was buried in Mora according to Gravar.se, having died 31 January 1948. The Mora death records on AD only go up to 1938. He shows up on a few “Swedish photographers” lists around the internet, but with little other information. I have a subscription to AD, but not to censuses. Can someone tell me where he can be found once he came back to Sweden? Thanks in advance! 3. Hello, I've joined this list in the hope that somebody may recognise the above name. The only reference I have to this man is in his father-in-law's Will which was made in 1909 in Essex in England. August was married to Minnie Julia Bacon who was born in 1865 in Essex and I am guessing that his age would be round about the same as hers. I have Minnie Anderson on her own in the Limehouse district of London in 1891 and then she disappears. I cannot find a marriage for them in the UK. Any help or advice in discovering what happened to August and Minnie will be appreciated. Thank you.
