I have followed Karin Carlson (born Persdotter 17 August 1872, Linsell parish, Jämtland) until the death of her husband, August Carlson who died 6 June 1936 at Glöte farm #10, Linsell parish. On ArkivDigital the last HFL register for that parish is AIIa:4 (1931-1940). Karin and August are found in that book at: Linsell AIIa:4 (1931-1940) Image 790 / page 65 (AID: v228148.b790.s65, NAD: SE/ÖLA/11071) Her husband, August Carlson, died 6 June 1936 at Glöte #10, Linsell. I would like to find a death date and place of death for Karin Carlson. She was born 17 August 1872, Linsell, Jämtland. Thank you! Mary
Can someone help me with the translation of the household record for Nils born 1723 and Annika born 1728 and rest of the family. This is on the right hand side of the book near the center. Peter, I followed them back in the HFL to see when they moved in and from where. Here they moved in from somewhere in 1863. I am not familiar with the names in this area and don't know if this is a farm or a parish. Floda AI:14a (1856-1861) Image 37 / page 22 (AID: v54995.b37.s22, NAD: SE/ULA/10258) Here is her birth. She was called Stina Kajsa - number 8. Hi, Mary-- The 1880 Befolkning has the family in Djursvallen, Linsell socken, Jämtland. Per Persson 1856, Far Ingrid Zakrisdotter 1860, Mor Anna 1878, barn Johanna 1880, barn Everyone in the family was born in Linsell. If I have the right Nils Hamberg, he married Mathilda (Tilda) Olsen Hoversland in 1898. She was born 1868 in Norway. They had three children, the youngest Nellie Theresa (1908) died the same year. The other two was Inga Christine (1898) and Edward Olaus (1900). He went to Norway in 1914, spent almost a year there, and returned again a year or two before he died. The daughter Inga married John Waro after she was 40, so they probably didn't have any children together. Edward Olaus married Elsie Lizzie Evenson. They had two children, Glenn and Elaine. I have been searching for them, but not with any luck yet. He moved back to Norway and died of cancer in 1925. He was buried in the village where my great grandmother lived. It is possible that Peter/Peder/Per Hamberg married a woman named Helen from Denmark. They had a daughter Addie, who also was born in Denmark. I found them in 1920. This Helen must have died between 1920 and 1924, because Peter marries a woman named Emma Helen Rupp in 1924. He was then a widower. I can't find Addie, but will keep on searching for her as well. Thank you, Lois. You are right about Jonas, it can't be him. I can't seem to find him anywhere, but will keep on searching. As for the Brother Nils, I got confused about the fact that he was not married in 1915, when this Nils and Tilda was married in 1910, so I assumed it was the wrong Nils. But he probably was divorced. Thanks for the help you provided.
