I think his mother was Emma, daughter of Carl Johansson and Lovisa Abrahamsdotter, and sister of Henry's mother Augusta. Would someone please look for Arvid in census and death indexes? Is there some way to find out if Arvid has any descendants in Sweden? Thank you. Annette

    1. [SWEDEN] Swedish surname spelling - Eureka/Ericka Sundin or Sundeen
    2. Yvonne Morehouse
    3. Thanks to Martin, I finally was able to fix many errors in one of my Swedish ancestor's database. Now, however, I can't find the right parents for Eureka or Ericka Sundin or Sundeen. Maybe those two surnames aren't right, either. This lady was born about 14 Nov 1874 in (I think) Ånge Municipality, Västernorrland County, Sweden. She married August Samuel Engstrom on 22 Dec 1893 but the Minnesota marriage records don't go back that far. Eureka died on 14 Aug 1942 in Alexandria, Douglas County, Minnesota. I'm looking for more information on Eureka and hopefully will locate the names of her parents but, how do the Swedes spell a surname that sounds like Sundeen? Thanks, Yvonne

    2. Yvonne Morehouse
    3. These inherited records are so fouled up: Adolph Engstrom is b. 1854 (at what appears to be an error...Verna Socken) of Östergötland, Sweden and his wife, Anna Lindgren born in 1851 in Ånge, Västernorrland, Sweden immigrated to the U.S. The couple's son, August Samuel Engstrom b. 27 Oct 1876 in Sweden states he immigrated in 1879. I'm wondering if anyone can straighten out this mess by providing information about Adolph and Anna and each the parents of each individual. Once the correct people and places are identified I should be able to find other ancestors. Thanks very much. Yvonne
