Hi Martin Thank you! What I didn't have, for some odd reason Anna Lisa's emigration date. What I do have is her arrival date to USA 19/01/1905. It makes sense why I couldn't find her in Sundvalls. What they should have done when they scratch out pertaining to Frans Lundell when he came back to Sweden in 1911 to write next to her date she did go to the US. So confusing for sure! [title?] Engelbrett Larsson with its wife Judith Erichsdotter Hassel and 4 children, are all born in Nössemark(?) parish except the mother. The husband 34, the wife 40 years, the son Erich 13, the daughter Lisa 10, the son Lars 8 and the daughter Catharina 5 years old. Coming from Solnes(?) and Nössemark parish, intending now to move and travel to Kjabal(?) at Strömstad in Bohuslän. Both the husband and the wife read well in book and understand ??? their christian knowledge, the older children have started somewhat to learn, have attended the common household examinations and used the instruments of grace. Have lived honestly, in a christian manner, and well in their poverty, and because of this circumstance and the husband's frailness, are free from the taxes. Signed at Strand 12 Oct 1782, L.F.(?) Dahlman, local pastor. Then it seems the same certificate had been shown in July 1783 and reused 9 Apr 1785 for a move to Tanum(?), the text added at the top. Or perhaps that is just a remark that they moved to Tanum? or something... // Bo johansson

Bo, Thanks so much for saving me much time in searching for these HFLs. Would you have a look at Håkan's estate inventory to see if there is anything unusual? It is on AD at Södra Möre häradsrätt FII:87 (1874-1874) Image 453 / page 899
I am looking at image 40/page 69 in the above book in ArkivDigital, marriage No. 4. I need help translating and interpreting this record. Hej Bo, Thanks for your help with the cause of death. I wonder if something hit him in the stomach and possibily ruptured something causing him to die. I guess we will never know since we were not there at that time. I have included below the Source information from Ancestry.com for an individual that I need to study further. A word of caution, the source index refers to page 348, but looking at the actual page, to me it looks like 347. As I have posted on a few previous requests, I am looking for my namesake and great grandfather, Carl John Bloom. I know only limited things about him: He was born in Sweden. His birthday was 22 May 1847. He was a "stone cutter" by trade. He came to the United States at age 22. I have a copy of his declaration to become an American citizen on 15 October 1872. I have one letter between his wife and her mother (still in Sweden at that time) that referred to him as "Blom". In my search, I have now looked at over 1,000 parish birth records in Jonkoping, Ostergotland, Stockholm and Gavleborg. I am now searching Kalmar. I have several reasons for prioritizing those counties, but I have really no idea about his county of residence. I assume two things in my search: #1. His birth date, written in a bible that he gave to his wife, is accurate. #2. He would not have changed his given name, so I look primarily for Carl Johan or close similarities, but I do not assume that his father's surname was Bloom or Blom on the birth record. The record below, on the right side, has a Carl Joh. (Edvard?), born May 22, baptized May 30. I believe it says that he was born in Ankarsrums Kruk. I have looked through the Household Examination for Ankarsrums Kruk for 1846-1850 and I can't find him or his parents. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME TO ANOTHER RECORD SO I CAN TRACK THIS GUY FORWARD IN TIME? If I have read this given name correctly, this would be the first Carl Johan born on May 22, 1847 that I have ever found. So, I really need to find this guy and follow his history to a point where I can see if he emigrated to America. The third name (Edvard) means nothing to me. I seems rather unusual to see a third name in these birth records. Sorry for the long explanation. Thanks for the helping hand.
