    3. Thanks, Bo. I thought I might be interpreting it wrong. I'll file this record with the marriage of my ancestors that took place on Feb. 30th. 3. Hi, wondering if someone might have luck translating the following death record for Åke Håkanson in: AD Östraby CI:3 (1789-1832) Image 202 / page 308 (AID: v110422.b202.s308, NAD: SE/LLA/13534). died 30 Jan 1801, buried 8 Feb 1801, abo (farmer) from No. 2 Tollstorp, age 68, [cause of death?], parents = Hakan [Hakanson?? or??] of Tolstorp and Elsa Jonsdotter. In particular, I am trying to translate Åke's father's name - is it Hakan Hakanson or ??. Also trying to interpret cause of death. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. 3. Hi Judy, I know that you probably had a good time at your aunt's birthday. You are lucky to have an aunt that is 90 years old. All of my aunts and uncles are deceased so I no one left to help me with my Swedish family research. I don't know if she would have flown here from Sweden in the 40s as World War 2 was just over in 1945. I, also, have not found any database for air line passengers coming to this country. Thanks for responding to my request. Naomi in Illinois judymo73b@comcast.net wrote Thu, 15 Nov 2012 12:04:09 Naomi, I don't see them on the Emihamn database nor the Emisal (Swedish American Line) database in the 1940s and 1950s. I do know that there are hits for other people in that time period. I think that Emihamn stops after 1951. (I found 325 hits on Emihamn for 1951 and no hits after that year.) The Emisal database seems to stop after 1950. Maybe they flew. I don't know of any database for airline passengers. By the way, I didn't see your original post. I was in Texas for my aunt's 90th birthday party, and we had a bit of a family reunion with my brother and cousins, etc. There was no access to the internet at my aunt's house and I didn't have time to look at email at the hotel. Bo is correct that if an answer is not received, probably no one can answer. Judy Orland Park, Illinois Sent: 12:01 P.M. U.S. Central Time, November 15

    3. Hi List - 4 days ago I sent the following message and have not yest received a reply. My great aunt, Kristina Otillia Köhl, came to the U.S. in 1928 with her husband. I have that information plus the passenger manifest listing them. In the process of looking for her in the 1940 US Census I was unable to locate her. I knew she lived in California as she died there in 1968. In the process of updating information on her son who stayed in Sweden, I discovered that she returned to Sweden in 1937. Following her in the HFL I found that she was still in Hässjö Västenorrland in 1941. In the meantime I found the US Naturalization Index card for her which shows that she became a naturalized citizen of the US in 1954. I have looked at the moving out records for Hässjö from 1941 thru 1945 and could not find a moving out record for her. Also, I looked on Digitalarkivet and she is not listed there. Is it possible that there might be an emigration listing for her sometime between 1945 and 1950? Any help is greatly appreciated. Naomi in Illinois

    3. Bo, After a little more searching I think I have found that Anna Arfvedsdotter (could that be a version of Arvid?) had two husbands. I found a Anna Arfvedsdotter listed as the mother of Johannes and father Jonas Nessor (' over the "o") (BirthCI:2 1750-1791 p 53 image 33) (born 11 Nov 1769) and this child dies ? March 1771 (Deaths CI:2 1745-1779 p.195 image 110) I think that Anna was married to Jonas and then to Andreas or to the other order...so I don't know which. I am so confused since the HFL does not have clear dates. I think perhaps this is beyond understanding.
