Hi Judy, Thanks for your suggestions on recording various names. Having tons of Pehr / Per Ahlqvists in my tree, I finally decided they were all be spelled the same way in my genealogy program so they are all spelled Per Ahlqvist. In the notes for each event, I note the way the name appears. There are two who are spelled Pehr and that is because they are my LIVING Swedish cousins. I can find them faster that way. I also settled on spelling the surname Ahlqvist for everyone because there were over 70 different ways I found it. Hej John - Vapenöfning (modern spelling vapenövning) refers to the compulsory military training for men, so it is not a place name. Sometimes for a move within the parish, only a page number is given as the destination, and sometimes there is no destination listed at all. John - In Arkiv Digital the page number is 796. He went to page 792 1 Nov 1866, then he came back to page 796 1 Nov 1867. There are dashes under his name which indicates that he left and then returned. I am trying to figure out where he went after moving back to this village, Akero #1, on 1867 1/11. I think there is a village or farm referenced by his name for years "68 and 69". To me it looked like Vapenofg or Napenofg, but I can't find those in an HE registry. I tracked him through the HE"s from his birth in 1847, but I am stymied now. And the second line might be intended as "Embolia art. pulmon." (pulmonary arterial embolism). // Bo Johansson > > Wayne/Lanny Sangster wrote Fri, 16 Nov 2012 16:27:46 > > Could the first word be *Erysipelas*, a form of strep, now treatable > with antibiotics? RE: Nykyrka EI:2 (1895-1938) Image 500 / page 41 (AID: v171815.b500.s41, NAD: SE/VALA/03257) Good morning, I would appreciate help deciphering place name on the first marriage record on the referenced page, Sven Vilhelm Vingstrand and Anna Margareta Engström. It appears that Sven may have been a Chaufför, Chauffer? from Bredared b 27 Jan 1903. I found no birth records in Bredared in 1903 and am looking for the family in the HFL...all I am getting from the farm/village is Bredä??? and would like confirmatioj that I have made the right interpretation. A check of death records might also confirm the info. Thanks, Lo in Flo
