Looking for an emmigration of an Anders Larsson from the area of Ljusdal.He left in 1870 with wife Brita Andersdotter and children. Some of the children had the name Olofsson, stepchildren. I was not sure as to what surname he used when leaving Sweden. He is a cousin to my deceased husband. I have found Sven Soderman (born 31 Dec, 1854) with his family at Hällesjö, Jämtland Household Examination 1846-1855 Al:4 image 34 p.26 and Hällesjö, Jämtland Household Examination 1856-1861 Al:5 image 31 p.27 I have searched for Sven in the next Household Examination 1862-1872 and I can not find them. Morning List, I am still looking for Johan Velander's emigration. Since I last asked for a lookup I have found another Johan. According to death info for the Johan I am looking for is this possibility: Johan Berndt(?) Augustsson b. 23 Sep 1878 Veddige Halland I do know that he was in DeKalb, Illinois in 1898 as he applied for a marriage license on 9 Aug 1898 and his name at time was John Welander. When his brother Carl Alfred left for North America he used the surname of Velander, so maybe that is when Johan took the surname of Welander also. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Hi again...still plugging along... On all the household records I've found for Anders Petter Jonsson, his birth is given as 27 Sept 1808 in Krykefalla. There is no birth for him on that day...but there is one that could be him on 27 May 1808...am I reaching on thinking this may be him? Do the parents seem correct? It is Krykefalla C4, (1782-1836) Image 75 Page 143 This family moved a lot over the years..another thing I found...Anders Petter married Anna Lisa Svensdotter (haven't found that marriage yet), she dies in 1854 and 11 months later, he marries Anna Cajsa Svensdotter. My ancestor, Maja Lisa Aspling in the next to last person on this page of the HFL. Köla AI:19 (1811-1817) image 64/page 59 What is the abbreviation in front of her name? Her name is usually written Asplind, but her father's name is usually written Aspling. Does that have any significance? Her husband is on page 54. I was hoping someone could help me read a few of the abbreviations shown in the image below. for the residence of Lars Jonsson, I'm trying to figure out who the family members are and who the farm hands are. From the looks of it Lars jonsson died, his daughter Chierstin and her husband Lars Knutsson took over the farm. Looks like Lars and Chierstin have a daughter Brita?
