    3. My Peter Mattsson did have a brother named Anders born in 1836. My Peter's birth can be found at: Rölanda C:4 (1829-1858) Image 15 / page 21 (AID: v11258.b15.s21, NAD: SE/GLA/13446) My Peter was in the U.S. and married by 1860 and he had 2 children born in 1861 and 1865. His mother Catarina Andersdotter was living with him in 1860 although she changed her surname to Mattson. He died 25 Sep 1872 in the U.S. I really don't know how to explain the two Peter Mattssons. Your Peter Mattsson had a brother Anders, born 13 May 1836. He returned to Rölanda in 1879, having lived abroad for 22 years, last in New Zealand and had now entered into his inheritance at Tveten. This is where my Peter Mattsson lives. I have not checked this, 'cause it's getting late over here.
