I noticed that they frequently had a married man and woman and a single man and a single woman, but many times I found my ancestors, who were a married couple, serving together as witnesses for a baptism. My great-grandfather's parents had his brother & her sister, who were also married, as witnesses for several of their children. Did the baptisms take place in the church or were they sometimes done at home like in Norway?
