Is the list just quiet or have I been unsubscribed? Ricky Harris
Hi, Haven't had any messages from the list for a few days...am I alone in this? Ricky Harris
Believe it is just quiet. At least I received your messages so we're all in the same boat. - Judy in Rock Island waiting for the sleet / freezing rain to start. Wow, thanks so much. I was just about to start searching HFL's page by page. The first one looks really promising so this will save me tons of time. Usually I put in the last HFL I found them in, but I thought maybe that was just more text for you to read that did not help. With your help, I was a able to follow Johan backward and verified that this is indeed the one. I will work on the other as well. I am looking for the baptism record of Axel Johnson. I do not have the AD information on where it is located. The copy I have saved will not open and the printout I have is of poor quality. This is the information I have on the location of the record: 1881 ars Fodelse-och Dopbok for Orby Forsamling. I do not have the page number. What I can see from my printout is: first column=#42. Axel was born on June 28 and baptized on July 3. When I made the original printout, my printer was not working very good--I saved the file to print a good copy later and now the file format of the document will not reopen. I would appreciate any help in getting another copy of this record. Thanks, Linda in Minnesota

What I have been able to translate is: "Emma Andorsdotter ?? to cause the child Erik Verner ??? Orby ?/1898." Also, what is written on the separate line? I have found information that Emma was absolved by the church on September 25, 1898 but am not sure if that is what this line says. On other records I have seen, the word absolved could be read--this doesn't look like the word absolved however. Could someone please look at the record and help me with the wording I can't make out.
