    1. [SWEDEN] Thank you Bo
    2. Evelynn McCain
    3. Bo, thank you for getting me back on track. I had started looking page-by-page in Al:15 Linneryd for Christina before I got side tracked with the moving out record to Ljuder. I went back and finally found Christina on page 379 with her husband and children and then on page 346. I am so happy. I may not be completely done as this is the Christina with birth 24 Dec 1800 so I need to follow her and see if it changes back to 25 Sep at some point. When I find the marriage record, there might be clues as well to confirm this is the right one. Anyway, once again than you for all the help you give me. 1. [SWEDEN] Suggestion from list members
    2. Lois Casson
    3. I heard from a long time list member who is currently a lurker. She made a very relavent suggestion. Awhile back, before Ancestry bought Genline and ArkivDigital came to be, we could not copy and paste source information when asking for help. We were instructed to write the location, parish/församling and county/län because the GID#/Genline Identification number was a page reference and didn't give a place identification. When someone omitted info they were reminded that there was a format for asking for help. With ArkivDigital it's easy to find sources with just a parish name, provided there aren't multiple parishes with the same name. Not everyone has AD. If the län isn't named you may not get help from some list members since they have to go to other reference sources to get the län name. And that is the suggestion/request that was made, please include the län in you queries. You never know when lines may intersect and you'll find a wealth of info. -- Lo in Flo Lois Kälander Casson Pensacola, Florida USA

    3. Thanks for your help, Bo. This is truly a troublesome person to find. Your are probably right about the Christina that moved out is not the right one. I can go through the Linneryd AI:15 HFL page by page, but I am concerned about how to know if I have the right one if her birth date keeps changing. Family Search shows a Christina born on 10 Sep 1805, but I can't find a birth record for her and I don't know where they got the information. Since Christina born in 1800 was still alive in 1821, it doesn't seem likely that another daughter would have been given the same name. 3. Thanks so much and there he was...of course he moves again in 1845 and there is the next puzzle. I can see that he moves to Smedså??? I have checked my Sverige vägatlas and Cradled in Sweden and the parish index and I am not putting the puzzle pieces together correctly. I also checked that he didn't leave the parish. I saw that Espered was a by. Does that mean it was a little villiage or was it a large farm? Thanks so much, Carol in Kentucky -----Original Message----- From: Bo Johansson <[email protected]> To: sweden <[email protected]> Sent: Tue, Jul 1, 2014 11:36 am Subject: Re: [SWEDEN] Searching in Södra Ving Carol Larson wrote 2014-07-01 15:26: > > I have followed Johannus (1819) --- Johannes Svensson > > from Södra Ving to Rångedala 1835, back to S. 3. Thanks Lois, And I resent my request this morning so I sure hope I can find the missing ancestor. -----Original Message----- From: Lois Casson <[email protected]> To: sweden <[email protected]> Sent: Tue, Jul 1, 2014 11:16 am Subject: Re: [SWEDEN] From list admin...unsubscribe notifications continue. Carol, You don't have to apologize. I only cited the subject line as an example that it was a glitch with the listserve because all 52 people would not have been responding to that message. The fact of the matter is that emails coming and going are scanned. 3. I apologize for any problems I might have caused since that thread came from me.."searching in ...". I just scanned my computer and there were no viruses and the program said there have "never been" viruses on my computer. So please let me know if there is something more I should do? I looked back at my computer records and that original email went out at 1:37 yesterday . At that time I was bumped from the list. Sorry, Carol in Kentucky -----Original Message----- From: Lois Casson <[email protected]> To: sweden <[email protected]> Sent: Tue, Jul 1, 2014 10:58 am Subject: [SWEDEN] From list admin...unsubscribe notifications continue. Please keep this message handy. _/*To subscribe to the list, please send an email to*/__/*[email protected]*/__/* with the word 'subscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message*/__/*.*/_ I don't know why, but every one of those bounce notices was tied to the subject line "Searching in Södra Ving," which leads me to believe there is an internal glitch. A couple of weeks ago Ancestry.com, which hosts Rootsweb, from which this mailing list emanates, was hit by a nasty virus. In simplest terms, their server was hit several thousand times a second by fake sign-ons. It took down Ancestry, Rootsweb and Findagrave. It took about two days to get Ancestry back up limping along, 4-5 for Findagrave, and over a week for Rootsweb, which meant no mail to or from the list. This list, as well as the many others hosted by Rootsweb, are dealing with residual problems and we have to hang in until the bugs are worked out. I feel I have personally addressed the subject enough over the past few days. I am aware that most people are just resubscribing as instructed. I believe that those still writing to me personally are not even reading their list mail. From now on I will simply forward this email in answer to questions related to this problem. -- Lo in Flo Lois Kälander Casson Pensacola, Florida USA ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
