Good evening, I am new to ROOTSWEB & the list. I have a major mystery on my hands here folks, & I think ol' ALBERT may be the key to a lead or 2. ;-) Here's the deal: Golden Emma Dougherty was my Grandmother IVA'S older sister. Born in FORDSVILLE, Ky. somtime between 1890-96, she goes on to marry one ALBERT SWEATT in God only knows what year. ;-) Same with when ol' Al kicked the bucket. I don't when or where he was born or died except maybe Kentucky. Anywho, she ended up with my Grandma in POMONA, CA. in the 50's. I have the pictures to prove it. ;-) Then in 1958, POOF!!, she ups & disappears. ;-) The family story is that she went to Los Angeles to live at a facility run by the Little Sisters of the Poor. Only THEY have no record of her at all in their archives.;-) The ol' Gal has fallen off the face of the earth. ;-) Any info or leads on this couple would be greatly apreciated.
