    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/zARBAIB/121 Message Board Post: Let me begin by re-posting a message I 1st posted in November: I have a major mystery on my hands here folks, & I think ol' ALBERT may be the key to a lead or 2. ;-) Here's the deal: Golden Emma Dougherty was my Grandmother IVA'S older sister. Born in FORDSVILLE, Ky. somtime between 1890-96, she goes on to marry one ALBERT SWEATT in God only knows what year. ;-) Same with when ol' Al kicked the bucket. I don't when or where he was born or died except maybe Kentucky. Anywho, she ended up with my Grandma in POMONA, CA. in the 50's. I have the pictures to prove it. ;-) Then in 1958, POOF!!, she ups & disappears. ;-) The family story is that she went to Los Angeles to live at a facility run by the Little Sisters of the Poor. Only THEY have no record of her at all in their archives.;-) The ol' Gal has fallen off the face of the earth. ;-) NOW TO THE PRESENT: The following already appears on the SWEATT-L list so I apologize to any repeat viewers: I wrote last month to ROSEHILL & ELMWOOD CEMETERIES in Owensboro Ky. looking for info on 11 names. Folks have been buried there since 1850, with ELMWOOD the older of the 2 Cemeteries. ADDRESS: 1300 Old Hartford Road Owensboro, Ky. 42303 PH. (502) 926-6828 Anyway I got 4 HITS & a bonus. For the purposes of this List there was one HIT. As mentioned before, My Grandmothers sister, GOLDEN EMMA DOUGHERTY, married a man named ALBERT SWEATT. That's all I knew about the guy. Until now...... Ol' Albert is buried at ELMWOOD! ALBERT SWEATT Buried July 1st, 1939 ELMWOOD SECTION J LOT 161 HERE'S WHERE THINGS GET INTERESTING: The researcher gave me an here-to-for unknown BONUS: ALPHONSO SWEATT Buried January 9th, 1943. ELMWOOD SECTION J LOT 161 They are roommates! The bigger question is this: Is ALPHONSO Alberts FATHER or is he Albert & Golden Emma's SON, possibly killed in WW2? I am going to have to write back because the diligent researcher who was kind enough to provide info on these names forgot to answer my questions regarding what was on the tombstones of folks they located for me. I mean, it's nice to know when they were planted, but, I need to know the other info, including birth & death dates as well. :-) I am overjoyed to located the folks that I have & this gives me leads to search the local newspapers for their obituaries, & I may locate a social security death index listing now as well on 2 names. I am very inteested in hearing from anyone connected with this line. KIRIL KUNDURAZIEFF Pomona, Ca.
