My mother's maiden name was Sweatt and she grew up in Mitchell county, lots of her family still lived near there. Although most do not live in Mitchell county tx anymnore that is where a large group grew up. Her fathers name was i believe George Tilden Sweatt and Her mother was Ruby and i do not know her maiden name. My grandfather died before i was born and Ruby (my grandma) passed on back in 1987 if i remember correctly. My mother can provide way more info on the sweatts in texas from this area if you would like to email me.
