There may be a family connection, I am reasearching it now and looking over my family info to see if I can confirm it. My Grandmother who was black was named Roxie Sweatt-Carson she married George Lucian Carson. The Carsons' and the Sweatts' were very close over many years. In slavery years they were owned by the Helms and the Porters and remained close afterward. Please keep in touch as to your progress with the photo.
