His father was Glenny Sweat from Al. He married Annie May Turner who added an extra T to the name because she didn't like the way it looked on paper.Her fathers name was Pink Lafayette.My GGGrandfathers name was Spense Suret according to my Great Uncle Lonny Sweat.My GGGrandmother was full blooded Cherokee who married a Frenchman, this is where it gets confusing.I'm just getting started at this genealogy stuff.I will know much more in the near future with help from other Sweatt family members who are researching our tree.
