I can't find anything on him before 1850. In 1850 he was already living in Attala Co., MS and married to Mariah "Fanny" Holland Robertson and had a child. Have you come across him in your research? There is some research on the Rev. Nathaniel Sweatt, who was supposedly murdered by the Confederate Soldiers, and his family at the Kosciusko Attala Co. Library. Is that your family?
