I believe we corresponded a few years back about the Sweatts and the question of Indian in this line. My gr-gr-grandfather was John Sweatt, of Attala County, MS, born 1824 in SC. I still have not determined his relation to the other Sweatts. I suspect he is a son or brother to James. He seems a little old to be a son but he did have a daughter named Malissa, however, his wife, Nancy, I believe was also named Malissa. A while back I had a MtDNA test done on my Sweatt line.
