Her father's full name is unknown, but it was either McCarter or Maxie as best as I can determine at this point. I have traced Callie's family back to her great grandfather, Whittington Sweatt. Frankie/Fannie had 2 sisters. Ethel and Edna. They were all born in Greenville, Butler Co., Alabama. Frankie/Fannie was born in 1896. Does anyone recognize this information? Please contact me.

I think that you may have the wrong great-grandparents. Preston & Pailee had 10 children. They lived in Speedwell, TN. 1) Jim Wilson b: Jan. 1910-(his 4 children still come to our family reunions). He was a half- brother. He died (shot) on 1-19-1940. 2) Leora Brantley b: 1-19-1913 3) Albert b: 3-19-1915 4) Bonnie b: 10-9-1917 d: 4-?-1920 from injuries for a fire. 5) Vonnie Marie Beavers b: 1-7-1921 d: 8-8-82 of bladder cancer. Buried in Wellsprings (Speedwell, Tn) next to Wiley b: 9-13-1920 d: 12-5-91 of a blood clot to the lung. 6) Catina (Boots) 12-12-1923. They live in Monroe, MI 7) Hazel Edith Thomasb: 6-16-1926 d: 2-22-02 of Lung Cancer. Buried in Highland South Cemetary in South Knox County. 8) Clayton b:12-25-28 d: 2-?-93 Aunt Juanita died last summer. 9) Emmeline (Jorgia) b:7-19-1931 d: 11-4-1990 of an asthma attack/heart attack (one caused the other). 10) William born and died 5-16-1934. Preston was born 2-14-1886 and died 11-3-1959 of pneumonia. He was very short and was handicapped with an extremely large hump in his back from falling and breaking it at a young age. Pairlee was married for a short while to Mr. Wilson (Jim's dad), then married Preston. Mom remembers Mr. Wilson still coming and visiting, so it was a very amible divorce. Pairlee Johnson was born 9-25-1884 and died 5-26-1971 of heart failure. Both are also buried in Wellsprings. Preston was born to George Sweat(t) and Anne McCarty (they spelled it with one "t" at the end. Rumors from mom said that Uncle Al was the one who added the extra "t"...I don't know for sure who did) Mom (Hazel) told me about her (Anne). Anne lived with mom until mom was around 6 or 7 years old. She was full Cherokee and taught mom everything about herbs. I never did find her on the Cherokee register. Some did not sign it because of them conforming to the English. Preston and Pairlee had 8 children. 1) Lu E. b: 7-?-1879 d: ?-?-?? 2) Lillie R. b: 8-?-1880 d: ?-?-?? 3) Miretia Pierce married to Clayton Pierce- b: 2-27-1884 d: 5-9-1974. She is also buried in Wellsprings. 4) Preston 5) Forester- married to Florence Smith. b: 3-24-1887. d: 8-8-1972. He is buried in Beeler Cemetary in Union Co., Tn. 6) Bengeman (that is how they spelled it...usually just the way that it sounds is how they spelled it) b: 6-?-1888 d: ?-?-?? 7) James W. who married Stella Walker- b: 2-?-1893 d: ?-?-?? 8) Gracie who married Meade Bowman- b: 5-21-1896 d: 10-28-1977. She is buried in Beeler Cemetary, also. George Sweat(t)'s parents were George Sweat(t), Sr. and Martha ?. This is as far as I got. Hope this helps you.
