Does anyone have names and directions (addresses) to any cemeteries in Ware County, Blackshear, Pierce County or any surrounding areas where the Southern line of Sweats lived? I plan on making a trip either tomorrow or Friday. Just wanted some places to visit. Cindy

I don't know if this relates to your search but in Irwin Co.: Children of Aaron Van Buren Yarborough and Flora Ellen Swett are in either the Silas Coleman Cem. or the Ebeneezer Cemetery [these are probably the same] Roscoe D. Aikman and wife Myrtle Aikman Swett are buried in the Ocilla Cemetery in Ocilla, GA. Rebecca A. Swett is buried in Boone Cemetery, east of Ocilla. Jeeze Cynthia. Wish I could get around as fast as you do! What's your home base? In Waycross, there are Sweats in the Kettle Creek Cemetery. It's a big one sort of in town. Don't have directions but you can ask anybody once you get there. There are also some very old Sweat headstones in the Beulah Baptist Church cemetery at the forks of the "herricane" creeks - out toward Alma. James Quarterman, Four Acre, and quite a few more Sweats are buried there. It's a really neat place. I think you might find directions in a Google search. You can find Sweats in "the Kirkland" cemetery but I'm not sure where that is in Pierce County. Hope this helps some. Went to Eastview cemetery in Atlanta yesterday and one in Forest Park GA. Got some Sweat photos. Today I went to Duncan Creek Cemetery and Hog Mountain Cemetery in and around Lawrenceville, Gwinett County....Got a lot of BUREL Photos there. Then swung over to Gainesville and went to Dawsonville, GA. (Bill Elliot, Nascar Driver's home and also my father's birth place) Got some PERKINS and LOOPER photos there. I'm hoping to get to South Ga tomorrow but I'm looking at a 4 hour drive min. Got directions to Union County South Carolina in case I change my mind by morning. That's only a 3 hour drive. My mother took a weeks vacation so we have until Monday afternoon to travel around. We've cover about 300 miles in two days so far....kinda tired but excited and wired at the same time. Can't wait til we get the film developed. Gonna get it on CD so I can share with all my cousins. Cindy
