Sweat. He is not listed in my records as the father - but I think he is. I am interested in the family of Samuel & Mattie Howell, because I understood they didn't have any children. This is something I heard from my family who left Alabama and moved to Florida many years ago. We would be double relatives because Sam & James Howell married the Sweat sisters. I didn't know a lot about this side of my family until recent years because my grandmother Minnie Howell Goolsby died at age 41 - the grandfather married again. If you do find out more about this family I would sure appreciate any info you can share.
