    2. Hello List, I have just subscribed to this list. I am a descendant of Gadi Swet who came to S C from Va. I have a little info but will be glad to share what I have. I can prove this much . Arron Sweatt m Nancy Peavy, dau of James and Sara Unknown Peavy. They had a son Charles Peavy Sweatt married Lucinda Coward parents unknown. They had a son Nathan Levere Boyd Sweatt married Eula Blanch Ellis. They had a dau Sarah Margaret Sweatt married Walter Jackson Brock. They had me, Patsy Brock Leviner. Gadi Swet came to the Pee Dee area of S C from Va about 1730 to 1760. He was an old man during the ARW. Known sons were William who had two known sons James and Nathan both served in the ARW. James a Baptist Preacher, went to the western part of S C. and Nathan II who went to Ga after the ARW. Gadi had another son Nathan who had two known sons Thomas and William. Then there is a gap in my research. I skip one or more generations to Benjamin born in 1786 (Benjamin may be a grandson of Gadi Swet., for both James and Nathan were in their teens when they fought for the Colonies.) But I cannot make a connection at this time. In the book "A History of Marlboro County" it says that Gadi Swet was an old man and was left alone by the British, even though he had descendants who fought against the British. Benjamin Sweatt married Rosa Unknown and had Aaron b abt 1814, married Nancy Peavy, Gadi II married Ellenor Gillespie, and William K married Unknown. As you can see my research is very sketchy but i am working on it. I will be very grateful for any info you can share. Patsy Brock Leviner
