Swartwood, 72, of Beech Creek, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 at Lock Haven ,PA," She was born in Beech Creek on Sept. 4, 1936, a daughter of the late Homer and Velma Flegal Walker. She is survived by her husband, Edward "Bud" F. Swartwood, whom she married Sept. 30, 1953. She enjoyed embroidery. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Cindy K. and husband Larry Kunes of Mill Hall, Linda S. and husband Ira Rossman of Mackeyville and Barbara A. and husband James Young of Mill Hall; three sons, Harold L. (Bonnie) of Loganton and Ronald E. and Jeffrey D., both of Beech Creek; two sisters, Clara Seyler of Mill Hall and Vivian Hanley of Monument; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 14, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 135 W. Main St., Howard, with the Rev. Alan S. Eckenroad officiating.
