RE: Matoaka Since the movie called "October Sky" was filmed at Oliver Springs, TN, owners of an old movie theater in nearby Clinton, TN, just recently remodeled and again opened "the Ritz". The last movie shown at this theater was "Dr. Zhivago" in 1969. For it's second premier opening the Ritz showed the movie, October Sky. Pat O'Neal
