I read that a James King was one of the first settlers in Thompson Valley, Tazewell Co. I have been searching for a James KING, JR., married to Sarah CURRENT in Sussex Co., NJ in 1798. I can find no more record of them, and am assuming they joined one of the groups who migrated to other parts, Virginia being one of the likely areas. Does anyone have any genealogical information about the James King of Thompson Valley? Might he have had family back in NJ, and encouraged them to join him in VA?
