Bob, Most of us have a Christmas story to tell similar to yours. Sometimes I wish we were back in the good ole days at Christmas time. I think our children and grandchildren might have a better appreciation for the holiday. Back when we were doing a little storytelling, I think you told a story that I would love to see again. Another may have been told by GLH. 1. Trading lunches at the one room school. You carried yours in a coffee sack. (glh) 2. Being late for school. You had to stand in the corner because of the excuse you gave the teacher. Something about sitting over the hole on the cooking stove at breakfast. These were funny but heartwarming stories.
