When we were children, we went to town for a "goody bag" or something, and when we returned home, Santa had been there. As we grew older, we "set" a time that we would exchange gifts on Christmas Eve with the youngest doing the work of handing out presents. If I were lucky enough to be HOME FOR CHRISTMAS today, we would open gifts tonight. Alas, the tradition changed when my son married and had children.
