Going over old court records dated 1745, I noticed the word 'alminick'....what does that mean? I think it was used in terms of payment because the line said "1 course linen shirt, 2 alminick, 1 alminick." Also, I have noticed the abbreviation 'Jno.' many times for a man's name. What is it short for? Thanks
