Volks, I'm going thru the 1860 Wash Co census working mostly on Fleenor. As I go thru I see points of interest so I will have a few post today as I watch football. Family # 2367 list Thomas LOVE as a millwright. I think it is in the Clear Branch (creek) area. There was a Love's Mill but I thought it was near Damascus. Anyone have knowledge of this? -eddie

Eddie, Loves' Mill was located on the South Fork Holston River on the Smyth-Washington co. line.. The old Barrack High School was in Washington County within sight of the mill.. I know because I used to walk from Smyth County to Barrack School. I lived on Grose Creek and walked three miles through knee deep snow to school, and it was Up Hill both ways!... G.
