I am looking for the roots of my gggg grandfather, Charles Minnix, born abt 1750 in Maryland. Married Rachel ? and moved on into VA. Finally settled in Franklin County. His son, Daniel moved to Halifax, married Mary Rudder, their son John (first married to Ednes Tynes) was my grandfather, E. Gordon Minnix's father. Edward "Gordon" and Grace were John's children by his second marriage to Lucy Clowdis Carwile (first marriage). My father is C. Haywood Minnix, Gordon's and Florine Evans Minnix's only surviving son, the oldest son, Edward having been killed in a automobile accident when dad was 16. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to know where abouts in MD Charles came from and who is parents were and from what country they came. My father will be 79 y/o 12.23.00 and is suffering badly from lung and brain cancer.
