Hi Guys! I live in Roanoke, VA. The cities in VA are separate from the counties. Roanoke, the city, is surrounded by Roanoke, the county, VA. Not far from where I live in the city is the county line into Roanoke Co., and there is a Back Creek at the foot of Bent Mt. which is on Route 221 going over the mountain to Floyd Co, VA. This creek flows into the Roanoke River. On Back Creek, there is a Poages' Mill. I suspect this is the one you are looking for.
